Donations from Golf Tournament to BoSTEM | Aqueduct Technologies

WALTHAM, MA., November 8, 2019 – Aqueduct Technologies, Inc. today donated proceeds from their Annual Golf Tournament to BoSTEM, a United Way and Boston After School & Beyond partnership. Funds from this donation will directly support field trips for middle school students and teachers to learn about STEM careers. These field trips introduce students and teachers to STEM professionals to learn about their backgrounds, college paths, and interests. This helps spark interest in kids and allow the teachers to continue educating students about these opportunities.

About BoSTEM
Launched in 2015 by Boston After School & Beyond and United Way of Massachusetts Bay, BoSTEM brings together a coalition of high performing nonprofits who are committed to closing the achievement and opportunity gaps for students who are traditionally underrepresented in STEM learning and to inspire and prepare Boston youth to succeed in 21st-century careers.

BoSTEM provides hands-on, high-quality learning opportunities that work alongside out-of-school time programs and with corporate volunteers, giving students a chance to apply STEM skills in exciting, real-world contexts. BoSTEM also aligns curriculum instruction across school and out-of-school time, and most importantly offers hands-on, experiential learning with industry professionals.
