Aqueduct Participates in Red Bandanna 5k Run to Honor Welles Remy Crowther
Oct 20, 2019
Aqueduct Technologies, Inc. was proud to participate and make a contribution to the Red Bandanna 5k Run hosted at Boston College on Saturday, October 20th. This amazing event was created to honor the memory of Welles Remy Crowther.
While we didn’t have a chance to meet Welles, we did have the privilege to support our co-worker and his sister, Paige, in continuing to honor his legacy. Featured in an ESPN film, his story is incredible and inspiring. On September 11th, 2001, Welles Remy Crowther died a hero, laying down his own life so others could live. Through Welles’ courage, selflessness, spirit, and signature bandanna, he became known as the “Man in the Red Bandanna”.
Welles’ family established a charitable trust in his name and their largest fundraiser is the annual Red Bandanna 5k Run which is done in partnership with Boston College, where Welles graduated in the class of 1999.
For those who would like to make a donation to the charity, please do so HERE.
